Full Charge Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist
Crown Disaster Management — North & Central Georgia Full-Time | Office-Based
About Crown Disaster Management
Crown Disaster Management is a full-service disaster restoration company serving residential and commercial clients across North and Central Georgia. We handle water damage mitigation, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, storm damage, contents cleaning, pack-out, and complete structural reconstruction. We're growing and need a reliable, experienced accounting professional to own our day-to-day financial operations.
The Role
As our Full Charge Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for the full cycle of Crown's financial operations — from processing payroll and managing accounts payable and receivable, to billing clients and keeping our books clean and current. This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, stay organized across multiple active jobs, and make sure the money coming in and going out is always accurate and on time.
You'll work directly with ownership, project managers, and estimators to keep the financial side of the business running smoothly. Our external CPA handles taxes and high-level reporting — your job is to make sure everything feeding into that is accurate and organized.
Responsibilities
- Process full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees accurately and on schedule
- Manage accounts receivable — invoice clients, track outstanding balances, and follow up on collections
- Manage accounts payable — process vendor and subcontractor invoices and expense reimbursements
- Handle client billing in coordination with project managers to ensure invoices reflect completed scopes
- Request, track, and maintain certificates of insurance (COIs) for all subcontractors and vendors
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements regularly
- Maintain clean, organized financial records and documentation
- Assist with budgeting and provide ownership with regular snapshots of cash position, outstanding receivables, and expenses
- Coordinate with external CPA for month-end, year-end, and tax preparation
- Flag discrepancies, billing errors, and cash flow issues proactively
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of full charge bookkeeping or accounting experience — ideally in construction, restoration, contracting, or a similar field-based service business
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) or similar accounting software
- Experience processing payroll independently
- Comfortable managing both AR and AP without close oversight
- Familiarity with certificates of insurance — requesting, tracking, and maintaining COI compliance for subcontractors
- Understanding of job-cost accounting a strong plus
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with project managers and field staff to ensure billing accuracy
- Self-directed — you own this function and keep it running
What We Offer
- Competitive salary of $45,000 – $55,000 commensurate with experience
- Full-time, permanent position
- Direct access to ownership and leadership
- Stable, growing company with consistent job volume
