About the Role: We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team at Crown Beverage Packaging in LaCrosse, WI. The successful candidate will work closely with all aspects of the manufacturing process, from raw material to finished product, and support daily production activities. As a managerial position, this role will include supervising plant electricians and electronic technicians, managing plant construction, modifications, appropriations, and equipment installation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify developmental or operational electrical machinery, electrical control equipment, and circuitry in industrial plant settings
- Oversee assembly and testing of experimental motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles
- Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective action
- Develop diagrams, drawings, and specifications for modifications or expansions and direct personnel performing routine installation and maintenance duties
- Plan, direct, and record periodic testing; recommend or initiate modification or replacement of equipment as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience plus an Associate's degree
- Five to seven years of experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- At least three years of proven supervisory experience
Preferred Requirements:
- Packaging industry experience
- Electrical Journeyman's certification
- Green or black belt certification in Six Sigma
Working Conditions:
- The associate may be exposed to power sources
- The associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
- The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
Salary : $80,000 - $140,000
