Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Process and document all incoming and outgoing shipments using inventory management systems.
- Scheduling and making the needed arrangements for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Resolve shipment issues by communicating with vendors, carriers, and internal teams regarding delays or damaged goods.
- Prepare orders for shipment, including labeling, packing, and organizing freight.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels based on company SOP’s.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates, drivers, and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies to management.
- Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Keep warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or warehouse shipping/receiving role preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing management systems and order fulfillment processes
- Loading and unloading trucks using sit-down forklift and/or hand truck
- Coordinate activities of warehouse operations to ensure effective processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments to meet customer requirements
- Work in a noisy environment for length of shift.
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
- Reach above shoulder height.
- Able to bend, twist, stand, climb stairs/ladders, push/pull, and walk for the length of shift.
