What You'll Do
Responsible for working closely with our Centers of Excellence (COE), this role will provide consultation and expertise in all areas of Human Resources in support of Crowley’s People Strategy across all Crowley locations. The role is located in Puerto Rico and will provide HR support locally as well as in multiple US states and internationally in Central America.

Education & Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources management, finance or a related field; or equivalent combination of post high school education and equivalent work experience. PHR or other HR Certification preferred.
Experience
3 - 5 years of relevant HR experience. Multi-state HR experience is preferred. International HR experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
Other
Ability to travel domestically and internationally as necessary.
Competencies
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing at all levels of the organization. Ability to multi-task and pivot quickly with changing requirements. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new processes as well as evaluate their effectiveness, develop improvements and/or recommend changes or alternatives. Ability to interpret and apply related federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations related to the administration of human resources/labor relations. Ability to manage conflict and demonstrate the courage to challenge organizational thinking and the status quo. Exercises a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive information. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to identify and/or document existing and new trends, as well as evaluate and predict the impact on the organization.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consulting support to business leaders and ensure a smooth execution of day-to-day HR related activities. Develop, interpret, and act on reporting information/analytics on people data to support and drive effective business decision making.
- Support employee relations issues concerning performance and conduct, including leading some investigations, consequence management, and lessons learned. Assist managers in creating an environment that is conducive to employee engagement.
- Support HR Business Partners with talent management and performance improvement processes. Provide support to compensation processes such as the annual fixed pay and variable pay exercises, off cycle adjustments, compensation audits, recognition and retention awards.
- Complete requests for terminations, restructuring and off boarding. Implement continuous process improvement through a collaborative culture. Maintain regular contact with employees and managers as needed to stay aware of concerns and respond to questions in a timely manner.
- This role requires providing support locally at both locations in Puerto Rico and remote support to multiple states is required and some travel may be required, including to Central America. Must be bi-lingual (English and Spanish).
