R&D Technology company is located in Austin TX and Chandler AZ. Seeking multiple Staff Analog Design engineers to support their customers in mobile technology, automotive, and PC technologies. Established 40-years ago, and has grown into an industry leader of audio and power management R&D to many devices including cell phones, automotive, and tablets.
As a Digital Design Engineer, you are part of a collaborative team developing high-performance mixed-signal IC's serving the world's top consumer electronics manufacturers. In this position, you will contribute to the design of SOCs controlled by ARM MCUs, serial communication interfaces, high-performance ADC’s and DAC’s, digital signal processing blocks, and other digital circuitry in advanced CMOS processes.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a team environment to create and engineer digital design subsystems from concept through to tape-out
- Convert subsystems into final designs for integration into the final product
- Support post-silicon activities including validation, characterization, and product test
- Design and develop a variety of digital and DSP IP blocks
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering and 5 years of proven experience in digital design engineering
- Deep understanding of the digital design flow from architecture, RTL design, clock domain/reset domain crossing, verification, timing constraints, Verilog RTL, and synthesis
- Experience designing and verifying complex state-machines
- Solid understanding of high-level modeling tools like Simulink, Matlab, or similar
- Understanding of control theory and discrete time, z-domain, signal processing techniques
- Familiarity with FIR and IIR filter design
- Experience with mixed-signal design, simulation, verification, back-end flow including synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis
- Experience generating functional test vectors for PTE, CMOS transistors, and strong lab and silicon validation skills
