Role Description The Algebra I and Math Interventionist is a full-time, on-site role located in Crowley, LA, focused on supporting students’ mastery of Algebra I and foundational math skills. This role plans and delivers targeted small-group and one-on-one interventions, using data to identify student needs, adjust instruction, and monitor progress. The individual collaborates with classroom teachers, counselors, and campus leadership to align intervention strategies with the core curriculum and state standards. Daily responsibilities include creating lesson plans, developing instructional materials, administering formative assessments, and providing timely feedback to students. The role also involves communicating regularly with families, participating in professional development, and contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture that promotes academic growth and confidence in mathematics.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Algebra I and foundational math concepts, with the ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Experience planning and delivering targeted math interventions, including small-group and one-on-one instructional support.
• Skill in using assessment data to identify learning gaps, track student progress, and adjust instructional strategies.
• Effective classroom management and engagement strategies that foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, students, and families.
• Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools to support instruction, intervention, and progress monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, mathematics, or a related field; appropriate teaching certification or eligibility for certification preferred.
• Prior experience teaching middle or high school mathematics or providing academic interventions in a school setting is highly beneficial.
