As an Automotive Service Director at a dealership, you will oversee the daily operations of our service operations, ensuring that we grow our business and provide top-notch service to our customers. This role is vital in maintaining our reputation for quality and reliability in automotive care.
Responsibilities
- Manage the service department operations, including advertising, marketing, scheduling and workflow.
- Supervise and train service staff to ensure high-quality customer service.
- Develop and implement effective service writing practices to enhance communication with customers.
- Monitor repair orders for accuracy and completeness before finalizing services.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to services provided.
- Analyze departmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Service Director/Manager or similar role in the new vehicle franchise automotive industry for a minimum of 6 years.
- Strong leadership skills and professionalism required.
- General mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive repair processes.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working for luxury dealerships required
- Experience with CDK software required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams required.
- Toyota/Lexus experience is a plus.
