We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bath Aide to join our healthcare team. The Bath Aide will collaborate closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and skin care to promote cleanliness and comfort.
- Support patients with mobility needs, including safe transfer techniques using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling practices.
- Monitor and record vital signs and other health indicators accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Assist with toileting, catheter care, and other personal hygiene tasks while respecting residents’ privacy and dignity.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in medical records.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to identify individual needs related to dementia care, Alzheimer's support, or behavioral health conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Prior experience working as a Bath Aide or in a caregiving role within long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, or home care settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic anatomy relevant to patient care.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems) and medical documentation practices.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) or CPR is required
- Certification Nursing Assistant (CNA) is required
- Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and demonstrate proper manual handling techniques.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and a respectful approach to patient service.
