What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapy Assistant position at Crouse Hospital?
The Occupational Therapy Assistant works in accordance with the practice act for New York State, which includes the treatment or the prevention of disability, injury and disease in an acute care, medical center and also in varied outpatient settings. Responsible for supervising and carrying out occupational therapy treatment programs following an Occupational Therapist Evaluation. Actively participates in and supports department quality assurance programs, education and customer service programs. Works as part of the health care team across department lines and supervises aides and other staff and performs other duties as assigned.
Job requirements:
MINIMUM EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / LICENSURE
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Currently licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in New York State.
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire.
