Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate, competitive estimates by performing quantity takeoffs, developing project budgets, and pricing commercial concrete projects from plans and specifications.
- Manage the bidding process from start to finish, including coordinating bid documents, tracking proposals in JobTread, and following up with customers after submission.
- Build strong relationships with customers, general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors while identifying new opportunities and helping grow the business.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop winning project strategies and ensure a thorough handoff once projects are awarded.
- Evaluate project profitability, monitor estimating trends, and continuously improve estimating practices to support the company's long-term success.
- Previous commercial construction estimating experience (concrete estimating preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office (JobTread experience is a plus).
- Valid driver's license.
