Duties
- Provide mentorship and support to youth, promoting positive behavior and personal growth.
- Develop and implement educational programs tailored to the needs of children, focusing on social skills, conflict management, and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with families, schools, and community organizations to ensure comprehensive support for youth.
- Assist in managing behavioral issues by employing effective conflict resolution techniques.
- Facilitate group activities that encourage teamwork, communication, and social interaction among participants.
- Maintain accurate records of youth progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding individual development plans.
- Advocate for the needs of children with disabilities or special education requirements to ensure equitable access to resources.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in various settings such as childcare, mentoring programs, or youth services.
- Strong understanding of child welfare policies and practices.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations effectively.
- Ability to educate youth on important life skills while fostering a supportive environment.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for helping young people succeed.
