As a Surveillance Technician, you’ll install and maintain surveillance cameras and electronic monitoring equipment throughout the property. This role focuses on troubleshooting technical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring equipment operates reliably at all times. JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for the testing, alignment, repair and proper operation of all surveillance equipment on property, including closed circuit televisions and electronic security devices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Installs and maintains all closed circuit television cameras, VCRs, expansion equipment, and related wiring on property.
2. Repairs damaged or malfunctioning equipment.
3. Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property.
4. Implements preventative maintenance programs designed to eliminate system failures.
5. Maintains and programs computer-controlled matrix switch supporting the monitors and cameras.
6. Routinely inspects power supply and wiring to all surveillance equipment on property, identifying and correcting any potential problems.
7. Ensures that the appropriate inventory of equipment and supplies is kept on hand at all times, and orders and re-stocks same, as needed.
8. Consults with management and vendors on specific types of equipment needed for certain surveillance operations.
9. Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
10. Provide accurate and thorough departmental records and reports.
11. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
12. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned by Surveillance Manager.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Educational/Experience: High School Diploma or GED and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1. Experience in gaming surveillance technology and knowledge of cabling standards required.
2. Knowledge of, and experience with, closed circuit television equipment preferred.
3. Must possess excellent observational and communication skills.
4. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
5. Ability to read, write and understand English.
6. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands.
7. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and guests.
8. Maintain a professional demeanor in a high stress environment.

10. Must be able to work in areas containing high noise levels, secondary smoke and blinking lights.

LICENSING
Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, State, Federal and/or Wyandotte Nation law.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
1. Ability to stand and use fingers throughout an eight-hour shift.
2. Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 35lbs in emergency situations.
3. Ability to function in a smoking environment.
4. Employee smoking is restricted to outside location and during break times.
5. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
6. The noise levels in the work environment are constant.
7. Ascend/descend flights of stairs to access office and break areas throughout work day.
8. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for entirety of shift as required to conduct normal assigned duties.
