Slots Attendant

JOB PURPOSE

Welcomes all guests providing an exciting, fun, energetic and friendly atmosphere. Monitors the operation of slot machines and participates in payouts based on policy and procedure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Customer service including eye contact, smiling and being friendly.

2. Anticipates customer needs by continually monitoring the floor.

3. Understands all machine play and can explain process to customers.

4. Promotes promotions with all customers.

5. Performs in-house maintenance on all slot machines.

6. Adheres to system of internal controls, policies and procedures, regulatory and state gaming laws.

7. Identifies and reports any gaming irregularities or attempts to cheat or damage slot equipment.

8. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.

9. Monitors the operation of assigned slot machines and participates in payout of jackpots in accordance with policy.

10. Operates as an emergency Pull/Count Team member as required.

11. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

1. High School Diploma or GED required. Casino experience preferred.

2. Ability to work as directed by your supervisor, which may result in being scheduled anytime during a 24 hour period, 365 days a year.

3. Excellent Customer Service abilities.

4. Experience in problem solving and mathematical abilities.

5. Ability to read, write and understand English.

6. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands.

7. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and guests.

8. Must have a friendly, outgoing personality.

9. Maintain a professional and even tempered demeanor in a high stress environment.

10. Ability to work in areas containing high noise levels and second hand smoke.

LANGUAGE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS

1. Speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before groups of people.

2. Ability to verbally communicate using appropriate English standards of language.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.

LICENSING

Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, State, Federal and/or Wyandotte Nation law.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

1. Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds.

2. Ability to sit, walk or stand for prolonged periods of time as required performing the assigned duties of this position.

3. Must be able to use hands, fingers or feel; and reach with arms or hands to perform the assigned duties of this position.

4. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

5. Employee smoking is restricted to outside location and during break times.

6. The noise levels in the work environment are constant.

7. Ascend/descend flights of stairs to access office and break areas throughout work day.

8. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for entirety of shift as required to conduct normal assigned duties.

9. Efficiently function in an environment with blinking/blinding lights.
