Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle systems, including powertrain, transmission, suspension, electrical, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) components.
- Utilize automotive diagnostic tools and schematics to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension system repairs.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and electrical system schematics to troubleshoot wiring issues effectively.
- Conduct vehicle transmission system repairs and diesel engine diagnostics to ensure peak performance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment to complete repairs with precision.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience as an auto technician or service technician with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical systems, transmissions, and vehicle suspension systems.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as alignments, transmission repairs, diesel engine diagnostics, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred; experience with automotive estimating software is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong customer service skills combined with excellent communication abilities to ensure clear explanations of repairs and build trust with clients.
- Valid mechanic license or certification preferred; relevant certifications in automotive electrical systems or ADAS are advantageous.
