What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Crossroads Veterinary Hospital?
We are a 2 doctor small animal practice that takes pride in our clinic culture that is family friendly with both our staff and clients. We are currently looking for 1 full time technician (or assistant with experience) or cross trained receptionist for our growing practice. Our free-standing facility is located on 26 acres just south of Highway 40 at the Winghaven exit. We offer cold laser therapy, digital radiography, and IDEXX in-house laboratory, ultrasound capability, surgery, and hospitalized patient care as needed.
We also have a small animal only mobile practice to provide veterinary care at owner's houses in conjunction with the free standing clinic.
The ideal candidates for this position must strive for excellent patient care on a daily basis and have a love for educating clients and developing relationships with both patients and clients. Our veterinary hospital is very family oriented with both our staff and our clients. We take pride in knowing our client's names and developing relationships with both our clients and patients where everyone is part of the "Crossroads family". Our appointments are 30 minutes which allows us to do thorough exams and client communication. Veterinary technician pay is based on level of experience.
- Excellent client communication and customer service skills a must
- Continuing education is available for all team members
- Multi-tasking capabilities
- Knowledge of Avimark veterinary software is a plus, but not mandatory
- Technical skills, i.e. placement of IV catheters, lab work, anesthesia monitoring, digital radiology, administer medications, nursing care of hospitalized patients
- Keeping all areas of the hospital clean and presentable
- Self assured team member
- Able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
