We are seeking a dynamic individual to fill the full-time Cook role in our unit. As a Cook at Crossroads Turning Points, you will play a crucial role in our patients' recovery journey.  This position performs various food service operations as directed by the Kitchen Supervisor.

All applicants must undergo pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana, as well as background checks and a TB test.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Cooks in quantities according to the menu and the number of people served.

Bake bread, rolls, pastries, and prepare desserts.

Cleans carts, racks, prep tables, sinks, dish machines, and floors.

Develops, compiles, and maintains food records regarding meal count, usage, production, and temperature logs.

Helps inventory supplies and equipment.

Refill, stock, and rotate food items using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method.

Assists in checking in and putting away deliveries from food vendors.

Break down boxes and dump trash as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:   

High School Diploma or GED.  

Experience: 

Prefer one year of experience in a restaurant or a related cooking setting.       

Other:            

Valid driver's license and insurability.

SERV Safe Certification.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must lift at least 40 pounds and use kitchen equipment safely. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
