Overview
We are seeking an additional dedicated and compassionate Audiologist to join our healthcare team in a private clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for improving patients' quality of life through audiological care. This role involves conducting diagnostic evaluations, fitting hearing devices, and providing exceptional patient service across diverse age groups, including pediatrics. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audiological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify hearing and balance disorders.
- Fit and dispense hearing aids and assistive listening devices, ensuring optimal performance and patient satisfaction.
- Provide counseling to patients and their families regarding hearing health, treatment options, and device usage.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Excel.
- Collaborate with ENT specialists and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Educate patients on audiological health, preventive measures, and maintenance of hearing devices.
- Stay current with advances in audiology technology, physiology knowledge, and medical terminology to ensure best practices.
- Demonstrate leadership by mentoring junior staff or interns when applicable.
- Uphold aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a sterile environment and prevent infections.
Qualifications
- Valid Audiology license or certification as required by state regulations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Audiology or related field; Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric populations (Pediatrics) is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple patient cases efficiently.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, otolaryngology, and medical terminology relevant to audiology practice.
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques and the use of audiological equipment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration.
- Competency in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
