Crossroads Social House – Wytheville, VA
Crossroads Social House is looking for a dependable, hardworking Kitchen Cook / Kitchen Helper to join our team!
You do not need to be a professional chef. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, willing to learn, and takes pride in keeping things clean, organized, and running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Crossroads standards
- Assist with food prep and basic kitchen duties
- Operate fryers, grills, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
- Keep workstations clean, stocked, and organized
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Help with dishes and kitchen cleanup when needed
- Restock ingredients and supplies
- Work with the kitchen and front-of-house team during busy periods
- Help open and/or close the kitchen depending on scheduled shift
What We’re Looking For
- Dependable and able to show up on time
- Comfortable working in a busy environment
- Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and good work ethic
- Willing to clean and help wherever needed
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift approximately 30–50 lbs
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person
Schedule
This position will include evening and weekend shifts. Applicants should have reliable availability, especially on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
