Job Overview
As a 1099 Company Driver, you will play a crucial role in the transportation and logistics industry by delivering goods safely and efficiently. This position requires a self-motivated individual with a strong commitment to safety and customer service. You will be responsible for operating your own/company vehicle while adhering to all regulations and company policies. OTR position nights out are negotiable and depend on workload available.
Duties
- Operate various types of vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds (no-tarp), OTR position is Reefer work.
- Manage route driving to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel efficiency.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Skills
- Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience operating forklifts for loading/unloading freight.
- Background as a delivery driver with knowledge of route planning.
- Familiarity with different types of freight including flatbed and temperature -controlled shipments.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges on the road.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Insurance requires a clean driving record, at least 23 yrs old.
Clear understanding of DOT and FMCSA applicable laws and regulations.

Pay: $0.65 - $0.75 per mile
