What You'll Do
The Youth Counselor Internship provides supervision, mentoring, guidance, and support to adolescent males living in a residential treatment program. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll help create a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment that promotes growth and success.
Your responsibilities may include:
Resident Care & Supervision
Provide daily supervision, mentoring, and guidance to residents.
Build trusting and supportive relationships through effective communication and positive role modeling.
Maintain the safety and security of residents and the facility.
Behavioral & Therapeutic Support
Supervise residents during school, recreation, community outings, and daily activities.
Collaborate with clinical staff and case managers to develop behavioral goals.
Encourage positive decision-making and independent living skills.
Documentation & Team Collaboration
Maintain accurate Electronic Health Records (EHR) and behavioral documentation.
Record resident progress toward treatment goals.
Participate in training and follow structured program policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree program in a human services-related field
Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Valid driver's license required.
Must successfully complete criminal background (including FBI) and child abuse clearances.
Basic computer skills required.
