We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a local Baton Rouge, LA company that is looking to hire a Warehouse Lead. This position supports shipping and receiving functions of the company and maintains an organized and safe warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming parts and equipment to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliveries.
- Prepare and package outbound shipments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to contribute to a safe and productive work environment.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, including large equipment using forklift and other equipment, adhering to safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Support equipment staging and transportation for field installations.
- Operate a forklift and assist with moving heavy or oversized items.
- Remove and properly dispose of unwanted or obsolete items by transporting them to designated waste or recycling facilities.
- Uncrate incoming equipment carefully and prepare it for storage or use.
- Conduct inventory of incoming equipment to maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with safety and company procedures.
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Valid forklift certification (required)
· Basic rigging knowledge and experience (preferred)
· Two or more years of experience in a warehouse environment.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active role
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Effective communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate instructions, actively listen, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
