Position Summary:
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated staff to support participants in developing life skills, social skills, and community engagement. This position plays a vital role in encouraging independence, building confidence, and creating a safe, positive environment each day.
Requirements:
Applicants must:
- Pass both background and drug screenings.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Have high school diploma or GED.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Have a working cell phone (to clock in and out).
Responsibilities:
As a DSP, you will be responsible for:
- Completing all necessary training and attending required staff meetings.
- Completing paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Providing care, supervision, and support to adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Assisting with daily activities, personal care, meal preparation, and/or medication administration.
- Ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the participant's living environment.
- Supporting the individuals while they participate in community activities.
- Fostering positive relationships of care and respect with the individuals served.
