Our Associate Medical Director ensures clinical excellence by working closely with primary care physicians and our interdisciplinary team to provide expert oversight of personalized treatment plans. Through careful assessment and coordination with the broader medical community, they certify that each patient receives the right care at the right time, allowing families to trust in our commitment to quality, compassionate hospice services when they need it most.
Medical Director Requirements:
- Current MD or DO
- Legally authorized to practice medicine in the state of practice.
- Assumes overall responsibility for the medical component of the palliative client care program and supports the hospice program.
- Be responsive to the medical community to ensure high-quality, appropriate, and efficient utilization of hospice services.
- Assist in investigations of important problems in patient care and clinical performance.
- Assist the Agency in the coordination of patient care between clinical staff and patients' attending physicians.
- Acts as the Physician Representative of the interdisciplinary group (IDG) and/or attending physician to certify and recertify for subsequent election periods that the patient is terminally ill.
Medical Director Availability:
- In Person availability for IDG meetings in the office to be discussed in interview
- On Call Responsibility shared with MD team to be discussed in interview
