Position Title: Physician Associate (PA)

Reports To: Medical Director or Chief Clinical Officer

Job Summary:
The Physician Associate (PA) provides high-quality, patient-centered medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician. This role evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients across the lifespan while promoting health maintenance, disease prevention, and evidence-based treatment. The PA works collaboratively with the care team to support efficient clinic operations and positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct patient assessments, physical exams, and medical histories.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging.
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Associate program.
Current NCCPA certification.
Active, unrestricted PA license in the State of Texas.
Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
Outpatient clinical setting.
Monday–Friday schedule with occasional extended hours as needed.
