Position Title: Physician Associate (PA)

Job Summary:
The Physician Associate (PA) provides high-quality, patient-centered medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician. This role evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients across the lifespan while promoting health maintenance, disease prevention, and evidence-based treatment. The PA works collaboratively with the care team to support efficient clinic operations and positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments, physical exams, and medical histories.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Associate program.
- Current NCCPA certification.
- Active, unrestricted PA license in the State of Texas.
- Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority.
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
- Outpatient clinical setting.
- Monday–Friday schedule with occasional extended hours as needed.
