Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Program Generalist to join our team. This role is essential in promoting a safe and compliant work environment across manufacturing operations. Duties
- Develop, implement, and oversee safety policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed report writing to document findings and corrective measures.
- Coordinate and deliver training & development programs on OSHA compliance, EHS best practices, Confined Space Entry, working at heights, and occupational health topics.
- Write project safety plans.
- Manage workers' compensation claims processes in accordance with workers' compensation law and ensure proper documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, and industry best practices related to occupational health and environmental safety.
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding safety concerns, ergonomic issues, and emergency response procedures.
- Support management in fostering a culture of safety through communication campaigns and leadership engagement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to operate a variety of testing equipment and other technology integral to this role
- Ability to think critically and problem solve will enable them to design and implement safety measures that have the greatest chance of protecting workers in hazardous work conditions.
- Must be organized and able to clearly record information pertaining to workplace safety. The ability to manage stress is another important characteristic for a Safety Coordinator.
- You should be able to clearly relay safety instructions as well as provide training and feedback on current safety standards.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize job duties, and work in a fast paced, hectic environment.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving history.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and occupational health principles.
- Prior experience in report writing, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and developing corrective action plans.
- Knowledge of workers' compensation law and EPA regulations related to workplace safety.
- Certifications such as CSE Rescue, 40 Hour HazWoper, OSHA Safety Certification, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to develop training & development programs tailored to diverse workforce needs.
- Strong analytical skills combined with excellent communication abilities to effectively document findings and present safety initiatives. This role is vital for maintaining a safe workplace environment while ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards and laws. The Safety Program Generalist will play a key part in fostering a culture of continuous improvement in occupational health and safety practices across the organization.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
