What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specimen Collector position at Crossroads Drug And Alcohol Testing?
We are seeking qualified individuals to serve as Drug and Alcohol collectors for our Duarte and Los Angeles locations. The Los Angeles location is near Alhambra. You must be able to work at both locations. Our ideal candidate Bilingual in English and Spanish Ethical Is Trainable Is a good listener Can work independently Possess basic computer skills Possess general office skills Possess professional telephone manners Have people skills Is Prompt and courteous Has reliable transportation Is a team player Drug Free Can pass a background check Others not listed Experience as a collector is not a requirement. During the 90-day probation period, the candidate gets trained on Federal Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Procedures. At the end of the training, the candidate must pass a written test that certifies the collector as a Certified Professional Collector (CPC). The candidate must pay for the exam (less than $100) and get reimbursed after 6 months on the job. Crossroads occasionally travels to a customer’s location to do testing. The candidate will be asked to participate in on-site testing as required. On-site testing can be scheduled or unscheduled. It can also be during or after normal work hours. Normal working hours are from 8 A.M. until 5 P.M. Monday through Friday. The Los Angeles location is also open on Saturdays from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M.
