Are you ready to impact the lives of others in your community, and be a difference maker? If so, Crossroads Counseling Inc. is expanding our billing department and looking at adding a billing assistant who has experience with insurance and collections.
Crossroads Counseling Inc. was founded in 1990 and is one of the most inclusive dual diagnosis treatment facilities in Clinton, Lycoming, Centre, Northumberland, Columbia, and Tioga counties along with being a Center of Excellence in Pennsylvania. We believe in treating the whole person in any way we can. We offer a variety of services including individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, psychiatric services, wellness services with on staff nurses, certified recovery specialists, prison services, school services, community- based services, domestic violence intervention programs, and medicated assisted therapy. We have a wide variety of diverse counselors who use different counseling approaches like EMDR, attachment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and many other techniques to focus on each patient’s needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks to ensure timely payments and overall accuracy with client accounts.
- Answering questions regarding insurance and billing.
- Reviewing insurance verifications
- Completes billing forms and submits to insurance companies, medical assistance, and/or local SCA's.
- Data entry and billing using medical billing software
- Clerical work: typing, filing, mailing, making copies
- Assist in collections with past due payments of patient accounts.
JOB REQUISITES:
1. Ability to type at least 60 words per minute.
2. Good computer skills
3. Knowledge of insurance and collections.
4. One year of experience in billing and working with insurance companies.
5. Must have ability to maintain a strictly professional and confidential relationship with patients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
