Crossroads Center for Children's school program is seeking to add an additional BCBA to the team of BCBA/BCaBAs!
Crossroads Center for Children is a private non-profit Applied Behavior Analysis school located in Princetown, NY and offers programs for children ages two through ten. This position involves working collaboratively with special educators, speech & language pathologists, occupational therapists, a physical therapist, and teaching assistants in the delivery of quality ABA services in a school setting. The school serves a total of about 80 students on the Autism Spectrum as well as typically developing preschoolers who in the integrated preschool program. The BCBAs are responsible for monitoring student's skill acquisition programs in collaboration with other providers and monitoring behavior intervention plans for those students who require that level of intervention. Each behavior analyst is assigned 2-4 particular classrooms to monitor (between 18-26 students; 2-8 of which have behavior support plans).
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) that follows a school calendar, including a six-week summer program. All school breaks are paid with the exception of three vacation weeks that surround the summer program. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00AM-3:30PM.
Candidates must possess:
- Master Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or equivalent
- BCBA credential preferred (candidates may be finishing their final hours of fieldwork experience; onsite supervision is provided)
- Documentation, Organization, Communication, and Time-management skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferably ASD)
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills
- Dependably consistent
Expectations of a BCBA:
- Assessments of behavior and development of behavior plans
- Training staff to implement behavior plans
- Conduct regular fidelity checks
- Monitor treatment plans
- Schedule and run interdisciplinary meetings to review progress
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders
- Assist with parent training
- Provide staff feedback
