ABA is an empirically based therapy that is used to analyze the relationship between a child and their environment to improve socially significant behavior. Crossroads Center for Children, located in the Schenectady/Rotterdam/Duanesburg, NY area, has both integrated pre-school and self-contained school-aged classrooms. In this role you will work closely with and be supported by an Educational Supervisor and Board Certified Behavior Analyst to help students meet their academic, self-help, and behavioral goals. Each classroom consists of a special education teacher that supervises multiple teacher’s aids. Students are also supported by a Speech and Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and Physical Therapist on an as needed individualized basis.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Plan and run group lessons that encompass student goals.
- Create and update individualized skill acquisition binders.
- Provide Discrete Trial sessions.
- Supervise Teacher assistants within the classroom.
- Scheduling staffing within your classroom.
- Report writing.
- Work with Board Certified Behavioral Analysts (BCBA) and other key. providers to adhere to students' Individualized Education Plans (IEP).
- Attend IEP, Behavior, Team, and All School meetings.
- Collect ABA data to track progress and modify necessary changes to meet student goals.

Job Type: Full-time - Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
Licenses & Experience
- Experience in Special Education: 1 year (Preferred)
- Teaching Certification (Required for School-Aged)
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
