Overview
We are looking for an energetic and dynamic Cafe Barista and Server to join our Crossroads Team! This individual would help in creating a warm, inviting and clean atmosphere that centers on positive customer experiences and commitment to providing quality in all that we do.
As a Barista ad Server, you will be responsible for taking customer orders, preparing and serving a variety of beverages and food items, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food service or café industry is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash registers and retail math is beneficial for managing transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- A willingness to learn about coffee preparation techniques and menu offerings.
