Teller is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while accurately and efficiently performing day-to-day banking transactions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Process routine and less frequent customer transactions accurately using teller systems capture technology
- Verify customer identification or other documentation in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements
- Monitor lobby and teller line activity to ensure customer flow efficiency
- Effectively manage assigned cash drawer, including proper cash levels, secured funds
- Balance cash drawer throughout the business day with accuracy
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area
Additional Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls and route inquiries appropriately
- Assist customers with online banking
- Prepare and roll coin as needed
- File maintain signature cards and other customer documentation
- Comply with all applicable regulations and internal policies, including BSA and OFAC
- Participate in required training, continuing education, and seminars as offered
- Perform other duties as assigned to support branch operations
