Position Overview:
As a Receptionist at Crossroads Animal Hospital, you will be the first point of contact for clients, providing excellent customer service and administrative support. You will help maintain the smooth operation of our busy clinic, interacting with pet owners, scheduling appointments, and handling various office duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets warmly and professionally.
- Answer phone calls and emails, providing accurate information and addressing inquiries.
- Schedule appointments for exams, surgeries, and follow-up visits.
- Process payments and handle client billing.
- Maintain and update patient records accurately in our electronic database.
- Assist with patient intake and check-out procedures.
- Manage inventory, including ordering office and medical supplies as needed.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Handle client concerns or escalate to management as necessary.
- Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff to ensure the best care for patients.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role (experience in a veterinary or healthcare setting is a plus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working with people and animals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software; experience with veterinary software is a plus.
- Experience with AviMark and Otto software is preferred.
- Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in office administration is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
