Job Overview
Busy medical clinic needs Medical Assistants with at least 6 months experience. Will work within the hours of 8-5PM, Monday through Friday. Must have own transportation. Must pass background check.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and conduct thorough intake assessments to gather medical histories and reason for visit
- Measure vital signs accurately and record findings in the EHR system
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures including medication administration, X-ray imaging, and basic life support interventions
- Support patient care by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing supplies
- Document clinical notes precisely, including ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures
- Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient education, answering phones, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and referrals.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a clinic is preferred
- Hands-on experience with ECW EMR is preferred
- Proven ability to deliver excellent patient service in fast-paced healthcare environments such as Level I or Level II Trauma Centers or hospital settings
Pay: $16.00 per hour
