Partner Abuse Intervention (Group) Co-facilitator

We are seeking 1 full time and 1 part-time person. These positions will work together with the Coordinator of the PAIP program by providing pscho-educational training and counseling in a group setting, intake assessment and orientation to perpetrators of domestic violence. The goal is to interrupt the cycle of violence and increase the safety of victims and their children, and to assist participants in making nonviolent, non-abusive and non-controlling choices within their intimate relationships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent life and/or professional experience.
• Two years experience in the areas of social work, human services, trauma informed care or domestic violence.
• Knowledge of the dynamics of intimate partner violence and/or victim services.
• Knowledge of the Illinois Domestic Violence Act.
• 40 hours of domestic violence training provided.
• 20 hours Illinois certified PAIP training
• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Assessment, counseling and training skills and the ability to identify special needs of persons served.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
• Current CPR and First Aid training o ( Ability to acquire)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain compliance with state certification for the programs
• Co-facilitate group sessions for persons served in partner abuse intervention program.
• Monitor outcomes for program success.
• Participate in granting writing as needed.
• Seek additional appropriate curriculum by modeling appropriate language and respectful, healthy relationship skills.
• Actively promote the program and relationships with referral sources..
