Responsibilities and Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assess clients’ needs through empathetic communication and detailed intake processes
- Develop individualized safety plans and connect clients with appropriate resources such as shelters, legal assistance, counseling, and healthcare services.
- Coordinate appointments and follow-up services to ensure seamless access to support systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, service plans, and progress notes in compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with community partners and service providers to enhance client safety and well-being.
- Provide education on domestic violence awareness, healthy relationships, and available community resources.
- Support clients in navigating medical offices or healthcare settings when necessary, including understanding medical terminology and administrative procedures.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations or in domestic violence support services is highly desirable.
- A compassionate attitude combined with a proactive mindset to empower clients toward safety and recovery.
Requirements
First Shift: 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. M-F (No weekends)
You must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent life and/or professional experience.
- Two years work experience in human services field.
- Must have a valid drivers license and automobile insurance
