What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manual Machinist position at Crosspoint Group?
POSITION FUNCTIONS:
Set up, adjust, and operate Machine Shop equipment such as Milling Machines, Engine Lathes, Tool-Post Grinder, Surface Grinder, and the various tools and measuring instruments required to perform precision Machining/Grinding operations. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering instructions. Performs and verify visual and dimensional inspection using manufacturer, company or customer supplied drawings and Manuals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Set up and operate various Machining & Grinding equipment.
· Read and interpret blueprints and Manuals.
· Demonstrate proper use and knowledge of tools and measuring equipment.
· Ensure all work is performed IAW posted work scopes and safety implementations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· 3-5 years working as a Manual Machinist.
· Proper use and knowledge of Machine Shop tools and measuring equipment.
· Personal Toolbox with basic Machinist tools.
· Must be able to read, write and communicate in English, have basic computer skills.
· Available to work daily overtime and Saturdays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Machinist trade school certification.
· MRO experience working at a repair station.
· Experience with Rolls Royce engines and/or similar engines.
· Airframe & Powerplant certification but not required
