We are seeking an experienced Metallizing Technician to support the repair and restoration of aircraft engine components within an FAA Part 145 MRO environment. This position is responsible for operating metallizing and surface treatment equipment while performing component preparation, masking, coating application, and restoration processes in accordance with approved technical data and engine manual requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate metallizing and coating equipment used in the restoration of aircraft engine parts and components
• Prepare, clean, mask, grind, and restore engine hardware per work instructions and OEM specifications
• Apply surface treatments and coatings to components using approved procedures and materials
• Read and interpret engine manuals, routing tags, and technical documentation to ensure proper processing and compliance
• Perform heat treatment and stress relief procedures as required
• Inspect completed work to verify quality and adherence to specifications
• Maintain department equipment, tools, and work areas in safe and operational condition
• Follow all PPE, safety, and FAA compliance requirements within the repair station environment
• Troubleshoot equipment or process related issues and support continuous improvement efforts
• Cross train and assist in additional restoration processes as needed

 

Requirements:
• Prior metallizing experience required, preferably within aviation or turbine engine component repair
• Experience working in an MRO or FAA Part 145 repair station environment strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft engine manuals and technical documentation
• Experience using grinders, spray/coating equipment, restoration tools, and related shop equipment
• Understanding of aircraft component restoration and surface treatment processes
• Strong attention to detail and quality focused mindset
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to work in a production shop environment requiring PPE and exposure to heat, coatings, and industrial equipment

Salary : $20 - $24
