Job Overview
We are seeking a high-energy person that has a passion for ministry. You will assist the Lead Pastor, and ministry and volunteer leaders by providing support, obtaining needed materials, and keeping them informed of updates and upcoming events or meetings. Also oversee business and facility operations, including compliance with liability, employment law, and supervisory guidelines, supervision of the Facilities Manager, leading the recruiting and hiring process, obtaining quotes for vendor services, overseeing Information Technology (IT) needs, and preparing budgets. Will manage the office by assisting church members, visitors and callers with various needs. Will complete before and after Sunday service preparation and follow-up. And coordinate church events by managing facility usage, recruiting event volunteers, promoting, purchasing supplies, and supervising the events. Will also coordinate Meal Train needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the pastors and other ministry leaders with communications, making aware of member updates, and general administrative support, such as preparation for services and follow-up tasks.
- Interact with vendors for ministry and business needs, obtaining quotes and negotiating best prices, while adhering to the budget.
- Engage volunteers according to their interests and abilities.
- Ensure compliance with operation guidelines established by the Management Team and make recommendations for improvements. Work with the insurance carrier to minimize risk, and coach the ministry leaders in standard risk management practices.
- Work with the HR Team in upholding employment law guidelines, established management practices, employee relations, and conflict resolution. Lead the recruiting and hiring process, partnering with the HR Team.
- Supervise and guide the Facilities Manager with decisions, time management, and interactions with vendors and contractors.
- Oversee information technology needs for the office and ensure secure data transmission and utilization of virus and spam software. Perform website maintenance and updates, and maintain Facebook site.
- Manage the office, interact with church members, maintain office machines, and take notes at meetings.
- Assist ministry leaders with coordination of church events and manage requests for facility usage. Coordinate volunteers to assist with events.
Skills

- Demonstrated spiritual maturity, intentional and consistent prayer life, and faithful disciple of Jesus Christ
- Be a member of Crosspoint Church (or be willing to become a member) according to the By-laws
- High school diploma required, college education preferred
- Warm and caring attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and high integrity
- Ability and willingness to respond to the needs of others, including leadership, staff, church members, and visitors
- Demonstrated good judgement, organizational and detail-oriented skills, and ability to develop processes and procedures to produce quality results and meet established deadlines
- Effective experience in leadership and development of staff
- Ability to solve problems while remaining calm
- Ability to recognize and readily adapt to changing priorities
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of computer software programs and office applications, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel. Knowledge of database management/communications, website maintenance, Google Drive, graphic design software a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and concise files
- Two–five years management and/or administrative experience
- Affirmation without reservations of Crosspoint’s Statement of Faith found in the By-laws
- Willingness to complete a criminal background check
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
