Student Success Strategist, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

Crossover
Seattle, WA Full Time
POSTED ON 8/3/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/26/2026
You believe that refusing to lower standards is the most generous act you can offer a student. Your resume includes competition, creation, or accomplishment at a level most people encounter only in books: elite-level athletics, graduation with distinction from a top-tier university, employment at a highly selective firm, or a venture you launched from zero. Now imagine channeling that discipline into a setting where K-12 students gain access to someone with your credentials—someone willing to push them toward benchmarks they never imagined reaching. If the idea of holding students to elite expectations feels too demanding, this isn't for you.

Alpha deploys AI-driven 1-on-1 learning that allows students to complete core academics in roughly two hours each day. The remaining hours are dedicated to life skills, passion projects, and authentic development. At Alpha's most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight. They need a credible mentor whose personal track record defines the standard: someone capable of assessing group dynamics, establishing expectations, and guiding them through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty.

Your role is not instructional. AI manages the academic content. Your mandate is to inspire, coach, and enforce the same exacting standards you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time is spent in direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions that identify obstacles and define stretch goals. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery rather than engagement. The final twenty percent is dedicated to morning kickoffs that cultivate a culture where mediocrity is unacceptable.

The trajectory here emphasizes depth over management. You begin by mastering Alpha's methodology and earning student trust. Within months, you become the person they allow to stretch them beyond perceived limits. The payoff isn't a title change. It's the same cohort, year after year, maturing with you as their constant. It's observing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a confident presentation to a room of adults in May.

This position remains student-centered. Students are the purpose, not a platform for advancement. If your motivation to leave your current role is the mission rather than résumé enhancement, submit your application now.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify barriers, establish ambitious targets, and ensure accountability for execution
  • Facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery by drawing on authentic stories from your own elite background, then validating mastery through Alpha's Test2Pass framework
  • Establishing campus-wide cultural expectations each morning through focused kickoffs that reinforce high-performance norms
  • Monitoring student progress continuously and refining coaching approaches based on data rather than intuition
  • Cultivating trusted mentor relationships with students and families by maintaining high standards, consistency, and documented motivation strategies

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering lessons, creating curriculum, or evaluating assignments — Alpha's AI-powered academic platform manages instruction; you manage motivation
  • Presenting to a classroom of 30 students (your work is intensive coaching in small settings, not large-group instruction)
  • Supervising other personnel or advancing through an administrative hierarchy (this role focuses on direct student impact, not organizational structure)
  • Attending faculty meetings or managing school bureaucracy (your schedule remains centered on students)
  • Compromising standards to meet performance targets (if a student achieved 99%, your responsibility is to identify what prevented 100%)
