Students progress through foundational academics via adaptive, AI-driven learning platforms. Your responsibility is cultivating what technology cannot—discipline, grit, communication, accountability, concentration, and the conviction that challenging pursuits are worthwhile. Your days won't revolve around lesson delivery or assignment grading. Instead, you'll guide students through obstacles, acknowledge meaningful progress, and support them in reaching goals they previously considered unattainable.

Approximately 60% of your time involves facilitating dynamic, one-hour life skills sessions covering subjects such as public speaking, concentration, leadership, and feedback exchange. Around 30% is devoted to individualized or small-group coaching, leveraging Coachbot analytics to determine who requires encouragement, accountability, or strategy adjustment. The final 10% centers on data review, coaching refinement, and positioning students for an even more productive week. You'll begin with established workshop structures, then enhance and expand them as you uncover more effective methods for inspiring students.

Performance metrics are concrete. A minimum of 90% of your students should reliably achieve their weekly academic targets, demonstrate competency in Alpha's life skills via Test2Pass assessments, and evaluate their experience with you at 4 out of 5 or higher. Consistently meet this benchmark and you'll access a defined progression to Lead Guide, mentoring fellow Guides, and ultimately Campus Lead, where you'll influence the ethos and outcomes of an entire campus.

This position isn't suited for those who prefer lecturing, curriculum adherence, or simply occupying students' time. It's designed for coaches, mentors, youth program leaders, performers, tutors, and educators whose definition of success centers on student transformation. Every finalist completes a full-day coaching experience with actual Alpha students before an offer is extended. What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating energetic, one-hour life skills sessions for K-8 students, building communication, grit, concentration, leadership, and other transferable competencies while iteratively enhancing the workshop delivery.
• Providing individualized and small-group coaching guided by Coachbot analytics, customized accountability measures, and Alpha's motivational frameworks to ensure every student reaches ambitious weekly targets.
• Evaluating life skill proficiency via Test2Pass and delivering focused coaching until each student exhibits true mastery, not merely attendance.
• Tailoring your coaching approach across elementary and middle school age groups, recognizing when a kindergartner requires movement and positive reinforcement versus when an eighth grader needs straightforward accountability.
• Reviewing weekly student performance metrics to detect trends, eliminate barriers, and continuously elevate results for your entire student group.
  
  

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Conducting traditional classroom lessons. AI manages academic instruction, allowing you to concentrate on student development.
• Evaluating assignments, drafting lesson plans, or preparing students for standardized examinations.
• Supervising students who work quietly on devices. Each day is dynamic, participatory, and coaching-focused.
• Seeking permission before intervening with a struggling student. You possess the authority to respond immediately and take necessary action.
• Handling parent correspondence or administrative documentation. Campus Leads manage parent relations, enabling you to prioritize students.
  
  

Student Success Coach Key Responsibilities

Develop a student cohort that reliably attains ambitious academic objectives, masters critical life skills, and cultivates the confidence, resilience, and ownership necessary to thrive well beyond their time at Alpha.

Basic Requirements

• Willing to work on-site at an Alpha campus in Bethesda, MD; Boca Raton, FL; Boston, MA; Greenwich, CT; Malibu, CA; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Palm Beach, FL; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Barbara, CA (relocation assistance available)
• Bachelor's degree in any field
• Minimum of 3 years working directly with K-8 students in teaching, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, camp leadership, or youth programming contexts
• Capacity to provide a concrete example of inspiring a student to accomplish a challenging objective, detailing your method and the result
• Enthusiastic about allowing AI to handle academic instruction while you concentrate on coaching, motivation, and life skills cultivation
• Authorized to work in the United States without present or future visa sponsorship requirements

• Background coaching youth athletics, debate, theater, camps, after-school initiatives, or other performance-oriented activities
• Personal history of exceptional achievement in academics, athletics, leadership, or another competitive domain
• Compelling stage presence and narrative ability that maintains student engagement without depending on volume or disciplinary measures
