You will not oversee 30 students in rows or execute district-mandated lesson plans. Instead, you will coach focused groups of self-motivated learners seeking to accelerate their progress, deepen their understanding, and take ownership of their academic journey. What You Will Be Doing
- Engaging students directly each day through one-on-one and small-group mentoring—no classroom lectures, only high-impact coaching at the peer level
- Leveraging adaptive learning technology and AI-driven platforms to enable individualized pacing for every student
- Facilitating targeted small-group sessions on leadership development, life skills, and practical success frameworks
- Guiding students to identify personal strengths and broaden their aspirations via customized development plans
- Participating in the continuous evolution of Alpha's instructional approach by providing data, feedback, and innovative recommendations
Student Learning Coach key responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in any discipline
- Proven track record of exceptional achievement (examples include top academic distinctions, D1/Olympic-level athletics, national-level competitions, etc.)
- 3 years of direct experience working with K–8 students in mentoring, coaching, or teaching roles
- Excellent verbal communication and public speaking abilities
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
- Ability and willingness to work onsite in Miami, FL; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Barbara, CA

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
