What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating adaptive reading workshops focused on building core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension
- Creating individualized motivational experiences that engage students and foster enduring enthusiasm for reading
- Examining student performance data to iteratively improve instructional methods and identify actionable patterns
- Partnering with engineering staff to assess and refine AI-powered literacy platforms
Literacy Specialist key responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree accompanied by advanced reading instruction certification (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience providing small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
- Demonstrated ability to assess reading levels, organize student groups, and create differentiated instruction independent of pre-packaged curricula
- Experience working with AI/adaptive learning platforms and adjusting instruction based on student interaction patterns
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
- Availability to work on-site at one of these campuses: Chantilly (Washington), VA; Lake Forest (Orange County), CA; San Francisco, CA; Miami, FL; or New York City, NY

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
