What are the responsibilities and job description for the Literacy Interventionist, Unbound Academy (Remote) - $60,000/year USD position at Crossover?
You recognize the shift. The instant a learner stops making wild guesses and begins reading with intention. They meet your eyes and say, "I've got this." If that's the impact you want to create daily, this is your place.
Unbound is a remote-first online school designed around actual progress, not hours logged. We're rethinking student learning so they advance more quickly, engage with the material, and graduate with measurable confidence.
In a typical week, you'll facilitate high-leverage intervention sessions. The remainder of your time, you'll conduct brief motivational touchpoints that help students stay focused and reach their targets. This position fits individuals who value independence, immediate feedback, and visible results. It's not suited to anyone seeking a rigid playbook or who prefers to avoid metrics.
If you're ready to help challenged readers achieve substantial progress—and you want the latitude to customize your methods for each learner—we'd welcome a conversation.
What You Will Be Doing
Take ownership of outcomes for grades 3–8—quantifiable improvements in fluency and comprehension—by providing customized virtual interventions and motivational coaching that strengthens confidence.
Basic Requirements
Unbound Academy is Arizona’s first virtual, tuition-free charter school, designed to make grades 4-8 limitless, personal, and exciting. This isn’t just an alternative to the traditional school system. It’s a revolutionary way for your family to reclaim time, unlock potential, and reimagine what education can be.
At Unbound Academy, students can master their core academics in just two hours a day. Our teachers use an AI-powered learning model to adjust to each child’s pace and interests, ensuring progress happens twice as fast as in a typical classroom.
By cutting out the fluff and streamlining coursework, we not only make a significant academic impact—we make learning fun, personal, and incredibly effective.
