What You Will Be Doing

• Leading adaptive reading workshops focused on building core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension
• Creating personalized motivational experiences that engage students and foster enduring enthusiasm for reading
• Reviewing student performance data to iteratively improve instructional methods and identify meaningful trends
• Working alongside technical teams to assess and refine AI-powered literacy platforms
  
  

Basic Requirements

Learning Specialist key responsibilities

• Bachelor's degree plus advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
• Demonstrated ability to assess reading levels, organize student groups, and create differentiated instruction independent of pre-packaged curricula
• Experience working with AI/adaptive learning platforms and adapting instruction based on student interaction patterns
• U.S. work authorization without need for employer sponsorship
• Commitment to on-site work at one of these locations: Chantilly (Washington), VA; Lake Forest (Orange County), CA; San Francisco, CA; Miami, FL; or New York City, NY

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
