What are the responsibilities and job description for the Learning and Development Manager, Alpha - $150,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- On-site position in Keller (Fort Worth), TX; Park City (Salt Lake City), UT; Atlanta, GA; or Oklahoma City, OK
- $150,000 annual salary paid weekly, with health benefits starting day one
- Relocation assistance available for candidates willing to move
At Alpha, this principle is foundational—not optional. Students master academic content through self-directed applications rather than traditional instructor-led lessons. This structure enables you to focus on what truly transforms outcomes: facilitating dynamic workshops on public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback. You'll use real-time data to motivate students toward complete goal attainment. You'll develop the Guides working with you. Your resources include analytics, a tested curriculum framework, and the personal authority that makes middle schoolers engage rather than disengage.
A typical morning may begin with individual Guide coaching, analyzing Coachbot data to pinpoint where a student group is lagging. By midday you're facilitating a live student workshop, executing a structured activity on feedback exchange. Afternoons transition to motivational interventions: engaging one-on-one with students, uncovering their intrinsic drivers, and applying Alpha's reward architecture (campus currency, performance rankings) to re-engage a reluctant seventh grader. You directly manage a cohort yourself, ensuring you maintain the same competencies you're developing in others.
You'll be measured on three commitments: students are passionate about school, they progress at double the rate of conventional classrooms, and they acquire essential life competencies. You'll begin coaching other Guides immediately. As you demonstrate results at scale, your authority over campus-wide program standards expands.
Uphold the expectation. Transform the learner. Submit your application today.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour interactive workshops on life competencies (public speaking, focus, constructive feedback exchange) for K-8 students, executing Alpha's curriculum framework
- Conducting motivational sessions leveraging Coachbot analytics and Alpha's reward architecture (campus currency, performance rankings) to achieve 100% student goal attainment
- Developing Guides on curriculum fidelity and standards adherence, ensuring every coaching interaction yields concrete performance improvements
- Managing your own student cohort while simultaneously building capacity in other Guides
- Monitoring student engagement scores, goal completion percentages, and Guide effectiveness indicators
- Delivering lectures or providing academic tutoring. Students acquire content knowledge through applications.
- Creating curriculum or lesson plans from scratch. Alpha's playbook is your implementation framework, allowing you to concentrate on delivery and relationship-building.
- Accepting 99% when the standard is 100%. Maintaining this boundary demonstrates your confidence in their capacity to succeed.
- Coaching Guides on instructional methods. Since Guides don't deliver traditional instruction, you're developing their energy, motivation, and accountability skills instead.
Execute Alpha's 3 Promises for every student in your level: they are passionate about school, they progress at twice the speed of traditional classrooms, and they develop real life competencies.
