Kindergarten Teacher, Alpha - $120,000/year USD

Crossover
Clearwater, FL Full Time
POSTED ON 7/29/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/27/2026
The curriculum is already designed. The AI already handles instruction. Your role is to help a child believe in capabilities they never imagined they had.

At Alpha, academic work is completed by students in only two hours each day through adaptive learning technology. This structure allows Guides to dedicate their energy to life-changing work: cultivating confidence, resilience, communication skills, and the drive to embrace difficult challenges. You won't find yourself presenting lessons at the front of a classroom. Instead, you'll be coaching students as they work through obstacles, recognizing their progress, and demonstrating what rigorous standards look like when combined with authentic support.

You'll oversee a single K-3 cohort band—either the Kindergarten-1st grade group or the 2nd-3rd grade group. Half of each day involves facilitating dynamic, one-hour workshops focused on essential life skills such as public speaking, concentration, and receiving feedback. The remaining time is devoted to individual and small-group coaching, leveraging learning analytics to ensure each child progresses toward challenging weekly targets. Every moment counts. Students should emerge from your workshops with greater capability and leave coaching sessions with expanded belief in their own potential.

This position is not suited for someone seeking to deliver traditional curriculum or oversee a conventional classroom. It's designed for individuals who are passionate about inspiring young children, energized by measurable results, and convinced that the right coach can fundamentally alter a child's path. If you've motivated kids as a teacher, coach, camp counselor, youth leader, or performer, you'll discover a distinctly different classroom experience here.

This is a full-time, on-site position at one of Alpha's campuses. We conduct national recruitment, so job postings may appear in nearby cities where no campus currently exists.

Current positions are open in La Jolla (San Diego), Orange County (Lake Forest), Los Angeles (South Bay, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Malibu), San Francisco Bay Area (San Francisco, Palo Alto, Piedmont), Greenwich, CT, Boca Raton, Miami, Miami Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Chicago, Boston, New York City, and Kirkland (Seattle area).

If your interest lies in a different Alpha campus, submit your application regardless and indicate your preferred location—we will evaluate you for the relevant opening.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitate dynamic life-skills workshops that guide K-3 students toward mastery of communication, concentration, feedback reception, and other enduring skills through hands-on engagement rather than traditional instruction.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching, utilizing Coachbot analytics, established motivation frameworks, and meaningful relationships to maintain every child's progress toward challenging weekly learning targets.
  • Evaluate life-skill proficiency using Alpha's Test2Pass framework, continuing to coach students until they show genuine comprehension—not merely attendance.
  • Adjust your coaching approach to match the developmental stage of your cohort, whether that involves songs, physical activity, and narrative techniques for younger learners or greater autonomy and responsibility for older students.
  • Establish relationships where students feel sufficiently supported to push beyond their perceived limitations.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Presenting academic content at a whiteboard. Students complete academics using adaptive software.
  • Creating curriculum materials from the ground up. You'll refine and customize proven frameworks rather than designing lessons independently.
  • Observing students as they work quietly on computers. Your function is active coaching, encouragement, and engagement.
  • Reducing standards when students face difficulties. Success is achieved by supporting students to meet the goal, not by adjusting the goal downward.
  • Overseeing homework assignments, grading student work, or managing routine parent correspondence.
