High-Performance Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

Crossover
Seattle, WA Full Time
POSTED ON 8/3/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/26/2026
You hold the view that the most compassionate act for a student is to maintain rigorous standards. Your background includes competition, creation, or accomplishment at a tier most people encounter only through reading: elite-level athletics, graduation with honors from a top university, employment at a highly selective institution, or a business you launched independently. Now consider channeling that rigor into a setting with K-12 students who have never had access to someone with your credentials, someone prepared to elevate them to benchmarks they did not believe attainable. If the idea of upholding elite standards for students strikes you as unkind, this role is not for you.

Alpha deploys AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction, enabling students to complete core academics in roughly two hours per day. The remaining hours are allocated to life skills, independent projects, and meaningful development. At Alpha's most demanding campuses, students require more than oversight. They require a credible mentor whose personal track record establishes the expectation: someone capable of assessing group dynamics, establishing culture, and guiding them through resistance, distraction, and uncertainty.

Your responsibility is not instruction. AI manages academic content delivery. Your responsibility is to inspire, coach, and apply the same exacting standards you have applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time involves direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching that identifies obstacles and establishes stretch goals. Another forty percent is spent facilitating structured life-skills sessions designed for competency, not engagement. The final twenty percent is dedicated to morning launch sessions that cultivate a campus culture in which mediocrity is unacceptable.

The trajectory here emphasizes depth over advancement. You begin by mastering Alpha's methodology and earning student trust. Within a few months, you become the individual they trust to push them beyond perceived limits. The return is not a title change. It is continuity: the same students, year over year, maturing with your steady support. It is observing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a composed presentation to adults in May.

This position remains student-centered. Students are the objective, not a means to another career step. If your motivation for leaving your current role is the mission itself, not résumé enhancement, submit your application now.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics and student data to identify barriers, establish ambitious targets, and maintain accountability for execution
  • Facilitating structured life-skills sessions designed for competency mastery, drawing on credible narrative from your own high-level experience, and verifying mastery via Alpha's Test2Pass framework
  • Establishing cultural expectations each morning through intentional kickoffs that embed high-performance norms across campus
  • Monitoring student advancement in real time and revising coaching approaches based on evidence, not intuition
  • Developing trusted mentor relationships with students and their families through consistency, high expectations, and formalized motivation plans

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Delivering lessons, creating curriculum, or evaluating assignments — Alpha's AI academic platform manages instruction; you manage drive
  • Presenting to a full classroom of 30 students (your work centers on intensive coaching in small settings, not large-group instruction)
  • Supervising other personnel or pursuing an administrative career path (this position prioritizes direct student influence, not organizational advancement)
  • Attending faculty meetings or navigating institutional processes (your schedule remains student-focused)
  • Compromising standards to meet performance indicators (if a student achieves 99%, your task is to identify what prevented 100%)
