Enrollment Director, Alpha - $200,000/year USD

Crossover
Nashville, TN Full Time
POSTED ON 8/10/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/2/2026
You have been in the room with a family and understood that the right answer was no. Delivering it carried a cost: a metric, a supervisor's nod, a sale. In this role, that answer defines the work.

Alpha is a private K–12 school network. Students complete academics in roughly two hours daily and dedicate the remainder to developing practical skills, with standardized test results validating the approach. This position is campus-based, full-time on-site, located in one of 12 regions: Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, La Jolla, or Malibu, CA; Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Boca Raton, FL; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Greenwich, CT; Nashville, TN; or Park City, UT. Select your preferred market during application.

Parents invest heavily, conduct thorough due diligence, and pose rigorous questions about academic standards and expectations within the first conversation. The educational model functions only when enrolled families genuinely align with its philosophy. In a small cohort environment, a single misaligned family alters the dynamic for all participants.

You will manage a campus's complete admissions cycle. Initial contact, fit evaluation, campus visit, trial day, enrollment decision dialogue. You serve as the singular point of contact from inquiry through the student's first school day. A representative week includes: responding to all inquiries within four hours, guiding a doubtful parent through afternoon programming, facilitating a shadow day, maintaining accurate records in HubSpot, and informing a family that their child's needs would be better addressed elsewhere. You will simultaneously manage 20 or more families at various pipeline stages. You assess alignment and communicate outcomes directly, in person, using your own language.

The network continues to expand, and operational protocols develop alongside it. Those who establish market presence author the FAQs, define fit standards, and create frameworks that subsequent campuses adopt, becoming the trusted referral source among affluent families within their region.

This position requires daily on-campus presence. Ideal candidates include: admissions and enrollment professionals from competitive institutions; high-value consumer sales professionals whose clients were families, such as luxury residential agents, private wealth advisors, or premium practice operators; and hospitality or private service leaders who have delivered elevated experiences for discerning clientele. If this describes your background, apply and indicate your market preference.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment experience for each prospective family, from initial contact through onboarding, conducting thorough needs analysis before any presentation.
  • Simultaneously handling 20 or more active families, responding promptly to every inquiry and reviewing applications on a daily basis.
  • Facilitating campus tours, open house events, information sessions, and shadow days that clearly communicate program fit and expectations.
  • Making admission and decline recommendations and personally communicating decisions to families.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records in HubSpot and the student information system (SIS) following each interaction, leveraging AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for preparation and documentation, and providing weekly pipeline updates to leadership.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Pursuing enrollment quotas. An enrolled family that departs represents a worse result than a family declined at intake.
  • Having your fit assessment overridden to preserve a relationship or achieve a yield metric.
  • Following scripts, executing call campaigns, or employing discount-driven closing tactics.
  • Transferring families through multiple coordinators, or awaiting committee approval for standard communications.
  • Conducting superficial facility tours that avoid substantive questions.

Enrollment Director Key Responsibilities

Enroll families with genuine program alignment at one campus and ensure that even declined families perceive the interaction as quality service.

Basic Requirements

  • 3 or more years in a direct client-facing capacity where an individual or family represented the buyer at $25,000 or more per client, or $2,000 or more monthly. (Direct-to-consumer only; B2B and enterprise sales do not qualify.)
  • You have independently managed a client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial inquiry through final commitment.
  • You have concurrently managed 7 or more client relationships using a CRM, database, or tracking system.
  • You have advised a prospective client against purchasing, enrolling, or joining due to misalignment.
  • You have incorporated AI tools into client-facing processes.
  • You communicate effectively in writing with executives, high-net-worth individuals, or similarly demanding audiences.
  • You currently reside in, or will relocate within 60 days to, an available campus market: Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, La Jolla, or Malibu, CA; Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; Boca Raton, FL; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Greenwich, CT; Nashville, TN; or Park City, UT.
  • Willing to maintain daily on-campus presence.
  • Authorized for U.S. employment without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Admissions or enrollment leadership experience at a selective private, independent, or boarding institution.
  • Background in luxury residential real estate, private banking, family office services, concierge medicine, or premium event planning, with families as primary clients.
  • You designed enrollment workflows or service standards rather than implementing existing frameworks.
  • You maintain existing relationships with affluent families, preschools, or family advisors in one of the 12 markets.
  • Owner-operator background where you personally managed sales, delivery, and retention of high-value clients.
