Director of Community Partnerships, Alpha - $400,000/year USD

Crossover
Broken Arrow, OK Full Time
POSTED ON 8/18/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/9/2026
Families who enroll their children at Alpha rarely do so because of an advertisement. They choose Alpha because someone they trust—across a dinner table—said, "This transformed my child." You would be responsible for building and sustaining that word-of-mouth engine across an entire region: orchestrating dinners, cultivating parent ambassadors, connecting with the mayor's office, and opening doors so a 14-year-old can take on their first meaningful project.

Your typical week involves being present in four distinct settings. You will design and execute the region's event calendar, which includes everything from 150-person open houses to intimate eight-person dinners—multiple times each month. You will identify current parents who are eager to share their experience with prospective families and pair them strategically. You will cultivate relationships with city leaders and executives, converting those connections into event venues, support for new campus launches, and tangible opportunities for students. And you will deliver the Alpha Networks: curated introductions, expert-led masterclasses, internships, alumni integration, tracked meticulously family by family.

There is no complete manual to follow. You will create the systems as you execute them, and the frameworks you develop will be adopted by colleagues building similar engines in other cities. As your region expands, the challenge intensifies: the number of doors opened per family must increase even as total enrollment grows. Success is measured by the proportion of growth driven by personal endorsements, evaluated across years rather than quarters.

No degree is mandatory, and no specific background is preferred. Whether you bring an MBA, experience in consulting or wealth management, or a self-built track record in community engagement, hospitality, or advancement, all are valued equally. What matters is your demonstrated ability to bring people together and convert those relationships into measurable outcomes.

This position is based on-site in one of the following regions: San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Greenwich, Miami, Atlanta, Boston, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Dorado, Nashville, or Park City. The role requires availability during evenings and weekends to engage with discerning parents, elected officials, and founders, along with frequent local travel. You will become the most networked individual in your city, and you will leverage that network for the benefit of students. If you view that exchange as the purpose rather than a sacrifice, you should apply.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Designing and executing the regional event calendar: open houses, curated dinners organized by city and grade level, and family retreats, multiple times per month within budget
  • Identifying and securing venues, hosts, and vendors, and serving as the live host during events
  • Identifying and recruiting current parents to serve as ambassadors, arming them with authentic testimonials, and pairing them with prospective families and tour participants
  • Establishing relationships with public officials and business leaders, and converting those connections into event venues, support for campus launches, and opportunities for students
  • Facilitating parent circles for enrolled families and arranging mentorships, masterclasses, and real-world internships for students, while onboarding graduating families into the alumni network within 30 days
  • Recording every event, introduction, and initial contact attribution in the CRM (customer relationship management platform) to ensure "doors opened per family" is an accurate metric

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Purchasing growth. No paid advertising, no ad budgets, no targets based on impressions or lead volume
  • Managing the brand narrative or top-level campaigns; that belongs to Marketing
  • Handling admissions logistics, conducting tours, or managing enrollment documentation; Admissions and Family Success own those functions
  • Operating a campus on a day-to-day basis, or managing the physical facility
  • Treating raw attendance and headcount as if a filled room were the ultimate outcome
  • Waiting for a complete playbook, a template, or additional staff before taking action

Director Of Community Partnerships Key Responsibilities

Establish people-driven referrals as the primary driver of enrollment growth in your region.

Basic Requirements

  • 5 years developing communities or relationship-driven programs in K-12 education, membership organizations, or similar network businesses, where growth originated from people: referrals, members, congregations, chapters, alumni, or a client portfolio, with quantifiable results
  • Personally designed and executed 20 events spanning the full spectrum, from small curated dinners to open events with 100 attendees, with budget responsibility
  • Established and sustained relationships with public officials or business executives that generated concrete, identifiable value
  • Consistent CRM user; documenting relationships, attributions, and activities is an established practice
  • Currently resides in, or willing to relocate to, one of these regions: San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Greenwich (CT), Miami, Atlanta, Boston, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Dorado (PR), Nashville, or Park City (UT)
  • Authorized to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Led regional growth, community development, or partnerships for a network-oriented organization: a school system, membership club, franchise, or faith-based or civic institution
  • Developed and monetized a high-trust relationship portfolio as a client-facing principal in wealth management, consulting, or business development
  • Advanced through roles in admissions, advancement, community organizing, or hospitality, and consistently served as the public face and host for the institution
  • Pre-existing relationships with local government or the business community in your city
  • Deep understanding of how families make high-stakes decisions regarding education
